wasnt happy!

camera didnt see anything.

does anyone know what happens if i just take it back when i get my car back?
do they charge me for the work done if they spot it?
or do they charge u ur full excess? (which is 650 through enterprise)

Ive had a few courtesy/hire cars over the years and most dont check ...if they phone you up after youve dropped it off then obviously it happend after you dropped it off ;)

When they say your cars ready make sure you tell them you can't pick it up until the evening :)

Take it out and about and get it manky as well mate. They won't clean it to inspect it. Best time of year to camouflage scuffs!!!

Charging for vehicle damage is a huge revenue line for hire car companies so you've been fortunate if they've never experienced them trying it on.
Having charged you for a dent, they don't actually repair the car so the same dent can be used to charge another customer who wasn't clever enough to notice that the dent hadn't been declared on the pre rental declaration of damage!
Even things that any normal driver would consider "wear and tear" e.g. stone chips can be treated as chargeable damage so the potential for being caught in this scam is quite high.

How bad is it?
Would a bit of polish help? Perhaps a touch in to take your eye off it???

When I've hired or been loaned a car , they normally walk around with you and mark down scuffs marks on the papers ,before handing it over to the hirer,
Did you not do the same

Just read what gizmo said
