I live in Denmark and the ST and with snow tires is as good as any other car I ever owned.

Low profile snow tires are also as good as any I ever owned.

In fact it is more fun :-)

The trick is to drive after the conditions and choose the best snow tires. Currently we have snow and 10 degrees below zero, and I have better grip than any normal family cars with snow tires.

Just been out in the ST and no problems at all. Traction was good, snow all over the road, pulled away slowly...it was fine..

Well got well and truely stuck last night on my way home from work on a slight slope that i stopped on.car wouldn't moved in forward or reverse and just sat there. Lucky enough i had a bag of rock salt in the boot that i had to throw under the wheels to free it. Will make sure now i have some with me now

used mine eveyday in horific snow last year including using it to taxi some stoc members home from xmas drinks up M90 when it was closed due to snow!!!! I have to say I dont find it too bad in those conditions as lonf as you let if find its grip and kep the revs low! If your gentile with the movements you wont have any probs but if you start slamminfg the pedals and swinging it around your asking for disaster, treat it with respect if you want respect back.... and enjoy lol

STs are :censored: in the snow. With 18 inch low profile and wide tyres, anyone who says that a ST is okay on a icy/snowy surface is either Ken :censored: or deluded. Snow tyres are the only answer. With nearly new GY F1 assymetrics, I nearly died when it snowed last year.

ok

sorry to here you nearly died last year in the snow but i think you need to learn some car control mate.iv never had any trouble in any car i have owned.and the st is as good as any other front wheel drive in the snow regardles of wheel size.its all down to how you drive,i have got cars up hills
and past stranded 4X4s in the past.i hav all so owned 4X4s to.yes snow tyres are good but they wont stop you from dieing.

Hmmm... I think it is more about the quality of your driving that the cars. 10+ people cant be wrong about it in the snow. I for one used mine just after it snowed, and I had 2 new conti sport contacts 3's put on saturday, it was fine. a little slip when trying to move away over a 6 inch mound of snow.... un touched, and slightly heavy footed. So no... most of us are not deluded... we just know how to drive mate

didn't have much problems either in the snow, just once which was up a steep slope which it wouldn't move in forward or reverse but found out it had a anti stall which was strange sat there without any feet on the pedals without it cutting out
