hey. this is one of those questions im sure some people are fed up of seeing but i am asking anyway

i have a Rolling road day next week for charity and wondering at what figures should i be seeing as one of my mates just made a nice 223bhp on a standard Type-R with 115k on the clock! and i dont want him beating me because he is the type of lad to never let it go. he already mocks the ST for being a 2.5 turbo and not having much power difference with his

unfortunately i cant get hold of a dreamscience remap before saturday at the price i am willing to Pay

I have recently had my car remapped at pumabuild and ever since I have various
Boost flat spots sometimes two or three spots per gear it's not the traction control
Anybody have any ideas

so been looking for a set of pole positions or buckets for the ST as i really want to get something to hold me i tight round corners haha my question is that these are for an RS but surely they will fit an ST? and if anybody knows what would i have to do with the air bag wires, heated seats and seat belt dong sound, want it all done properly not bodge, cheers

Hey guys I've been looking at buying back rs dreamscience pc tuning platform from the guy who bought my last focus, problem is he wrote the car off and didn't set the map back to standard. Is this something the dreamscience boys can rectify, it had all the mod maps on the platform which I paid for first time round lol, just wondered if I bought it whether it could all be restored?

The boot on my ST is starting to drop on its own, so i think the struts may be knackered, can i use struts from any Focus of the same age, or do i need ST ones due to the weight of the spoiler,

Wonder if anyone can help me,

I am trying to upgrade my standard ST up to 280BHP. I have managed to get hold of an intercooler from a focus RS and was wondering will this do the job?? Also will i need to upgrade my exhaust straight away or will can i wait till payday to but a new turbo back exhaust??

Hi there i have a totaly standard st3 facelift and am away to buy a catback exhaust, i have had a look around but cant really see any deffinate answers for the difference between the two. Am i better off getting the mongoose for the £60 difference or is the miltech worth the little bit more?

The Juke-R is seen competing with a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and a Ferrari 458 Italia in a small circuit somewhere on the streets of Dubai. This video must have been staged by Nissan, so it is not a big surprise that the Juke-R takes the checkered flag, however rigged or not the Juke-R looks like it handles really well through those corners and takes off pretty quickly off the line.

All of a sudden I have noticed a whistling sound from the ST. I loaded performance+ last night so don't know if that is a coincidence or what. Doesn't seem to be coming from the engine more under the car towards the exhaust. is this normal?

Was at the Silverlink Roondaboot at about 07:00. Didn't see club stickers? Was tailing you and hitting mad speeds of 40mph on the snow!

I was in the FW facelift with the RS spoiler.

Had the ST in for its second service yesterday. In 2 years of ownership it has just cost me 2 new front tyres so I'm very happy with that, although the report said the rear toe was ever so slightly out which will cost £35 to fix!

Now i'm looking forward to it's third service so I can start the modding without fear of voiding the warrenty!

Obviously i'm new to the ST scene but already in less that 2 full days of ownership i've had one on my for a few miles on the way home from collecting the car before overtaking me at warp speed before dissapearing off into the distance then again this morning another one on my bootlid through city streets before cutting me up on a roundabout and diving into the bank car park that was literally 50 yards in front, causing me to brake kinda sharpish !

Used to get a lot of this kinda thing when owning my Subaru's from almost every marque so I suppose i'm kinda used to it.

Not wanting to tar them all with the same brush but is the ST the VXR owners "target" or something ?

So driving home to night in the snow and ended up getting stuck and having to ditch my car and walk about 2miles home.

Bit worried though as my clutch started to smell and seemed to lose its grip...did it just get to hot and will be fine or will it have caused damage....

Upgrading Sound System Advice

Hi Guys,

Currently in a position where i've got some spare cash to spend, and wanting to spend it on the Focus, as i've had it a year and not done anything to it yet, so the bug is slowly eating away.

I've still got 1.5 years warranty left, and im one of these 'cautious' people that doesn't want to risk any performance mods etc, and would prefer to wait and go down CR or DS for remaps and Induction kit etc instead of Mountune.

So im contemplating upgrading the sound system, as i've already got most of the kit from my previous car, and is just sat there wanting to be put back in. However over the last year ive been pretty suprised as to how hard the standard speakers kick in an ST-3 (i dont think the speakers have been uograded before i got it), and i'm slightly worried that by adding my sub, and new components, i may upset the balance which im quite happy with at the moment. Below is a list of items i would potentially be putting in:

1. MTX T6000 Subwoofer.
2. MTX RT251 Mono Amp.
3. MTX 604 4CH Amp.
4. Hertz HSK165 Components up front.
5. Audio Control LC2i (In Line Converter so i can utilise the standard HU).
6. Rear Speakers would still run off the HU for abit of rear fill.
7. Skinz deadening in both the front doors & small amount in the boot.

I suppose my main query, is if anyone has upgraded there sound system to realise that the Ford one wasnt too bad to start with? I normally listen to most tunes around 22 - 25 music level mark when cranking it up, and hoping the upgrade will give increased clarity, and less harshness from the Tweeters. But then again i don't want to spend around the £700 mark to not notice much improvement if people can see where im coming from?

Hi all,

Recently got my Mongoose full exhaust fitted and was wondering if the tail pipes are fitted right. Here's a pic, not the best one but hey it was pretty dark when I took it .

Exhaust is great but the only thing I don't like is the back ends of the tips showing, making it look like I only put some cheapass exhaust tips on there . Like it says in the title, they're Mongoose 4,5" slash cut tips. Are they mounted right like this and shouldn't they be lined up horizontally? The guy who fitted the exhaust used the new Mongoose mounting points and removed the original ones.

Is this fixable or is the the only solution fitting a bigger rear diffusor to hide it?

Well ive picked up my ST today and I love it ( cant stop smiling) . Very nice to drive,smooth and fast.

Picked it up for £5800 with 6months TAX and full MOT ticket. 53k mileage. 2006 in blue

Ive done about 100miles in it today and getting around 26-29mpg which aint a such bad return from an ST with abit of the loud pedal added from time to time

Ive got a few questions. 1. What tyres do people buy as the passenger side front will need replacing pretty soon.

2.Wheel locking nuts, does the stardard car come fitted with them? as Im not sure mine is.

hi all the old girl been in a garage for a new driveshaft...the garage has been on fire with the st in there insurance are repairing it but had a hire car from enterprise.

got a vauxhall insignia, 1.8 went to asda and came back out to find someone has scrathed the rear bumper on it.

wasnt happy!

camera didnt see anything.

does anyone know what happens if i just take it back when i get my car back?
do they charge me for the work done if they spot it?
or do they charge u ur full excess? (which is 650 through enterprise)

Bit of snow landed today in my area, the st back end stepped out a couple of times at low speeds. Later did it again catchin a kurb, luckly just scrapped a wheel n no one else lol. Anyone experienced this with their ST? I was shicked at how easy it went?
