Internet Explorer 7 - Windows XP & Vista

1. Click the START Button at the bottom left.

2. Right Click Internet Explorer Icon on the Taskbar

3. Select Internet Properties

4. Under 'Browsing History' Click Delete

5. When 'Delete History' Window pops up. Click Delete Cookies Button

6. Press 'Yes'

7. Close down and re-log in to the site.


Internet Explorer 6.0 Users

1. Click on the START button at the bottom left.

2. Select CONTROL PANEL from the SETTINGS heading.

3. Click on the INTERNET OPTIONS icon to open a new menu.

4. Now DELETE COOKIES you may wish to also delete and TEMP INTERNET FILES both including offline ones.
It may also help to clear the INTERNET HISTORY but that is your choice it may not have any effect.

Guide for Firefox 3.0 users:

Load up Firefox main window in the usual format (as if you are going to browse the net)

Then

Click the Tools Menu, then Clear Private Data

This will clear all cookies

Due to an increase of regular questions asking how long. As stated on the online shop and the confirmation email, it can take up to TWO WEEKS, however it is usally within 24-48 hours of your purchase.

The process to upgrade your account is a manual one, meaning a member of staff has to entered several details and submit them to change your user group to Owner Member for one year. It is not an automated process.

There has recently been a few probs with people finding they cannot post anymore pics on the forums, I understand you have been getting a message that says you have used up you allowed attachment space.

Firstly to clear out and create more space go into your 'My Controls' section, on the left hand side you will see all your options regarding your profile/PM's/signatures.

Towards the bottom under the options heading there is a further option for Managing Your Attachments, Click this and you will be taken to a list of all the pics/files you have posted. Simply delete until you feel you have sufficiant space to continue posting on the forums.

Please bare in mind that when you delete these pics, they will dissapear from the original threads they have been attached too.So if you have attached items recently it might be wise to leave them and just delete the older ones

And thats it

And as a treat standard members have had their global space increased from 1Mbyte of space up to a whopping 40Mbyte's

And Owner Members Have Unlimited Global Space

have had a message come through at 02.31am this morning from an automated moderation robot
entitled moderator action - have to log in twice.
what the hell is this all about, have never had problems logging in before.???

had a pm off a mod on here the other day asking me to delete my sig as it was non car related.

as i was online literally minutes after the time the pm was sent, i'd read it and gone to my user CP only to find it had already been deleted less than 10 mins from the pm being sent asking me to delete it - JESUS!

i can't find anything in the rules that says you cant have a humours sig that isn't car related.?

Perhaps i've gone blind, or just senile, but i cant seem to find an option for saving the outbox messages also (i only have the inbox ones saved). Also, what is the difference between "outbox" and "sent items" ?

Hi, Ive loaded a pic in the "my controls" section for ma avatar. The Pic is within the limits it asks for (jpeg, 30kb and 120x90). But as you can see <<<<<<<<<< it doesnt show up.

hi guys, my sig has gone! I have not edited it nor removed it. Im trying to put it back on but have forgotten how. Can anyone remind me? I have the picture pre sized in photbucket but when I insert a picture (img link) I just get a red cross. Any ideas?

i got the internal ones but they point different ways in the window?

some times when i try signing in it says signing me in then the screen goes straight back to the login page again and i have to log in again it can some times take up to 5-6 times to eventually log in ave tried deleting cookies and files but it don't seem to work any ideas????

Have noted that there have been a fair few new members joining recently who have ST 170's. Have you considered a dedicated ST170 section within the forum? Allan

Just for the Admin team, I received an email from Paypal on the 11 Nov 08 to say the payment had been deposited to the ST account - does it take 2 weeks to activate from this date?

Hello,

I received a message to tell me that a topic that I raised on insurance has been cancelled.
I have not received a PM to tell me why.
It would be nice if someone would let me know why this has been deleted.
The topic was a perfectly reasonable request for any guidance on insurance providers.
As a new owner member, is this a taste of the over the top level of censorship that others have complained about.
Was it because I mentioned a sponsor being expensive!
Perhaps I am slightly put out because no one has explained this to me.

One of my threads got deleted and I immediately received the below message telling me that I'd receive a PM to let me know why - but I havent received this PM. It doesnt bother me that it has been deleted as it wasnt important, but I'd like to know if I've broken any rules, so I dont do it again.
