Firstly I wasn't sure where to post this so feel free to move but as the original thread is in this section...
Secondly, this weekend would not have been anywhere near as good without everyone that came and made it a fantstic trip.
Friday:
Believe it or not I navigated the whole convoy from Calais to Adenau without any issue. From those of you that know me and my navigational skills would agree it's quite an achievement!
We arrived at the hotel (fantastic, will definately stay here again), we all checked in then headed for the bar, This was where the night took a turneither for the good or the bad

A few beers then we had a great meal with a few more beers then back to the bar for a few more beers.. you see a pattern emerging here.. after a few more beers the Jagermeister, or as it soon became known as the 'the black sh-t' was delivered to our table. From then on I remember alot of laughs and banter... I think
Saturday:
I was woken up at stupid o'clock by Al coming into my room, took one look at me lying there half dead in my pants, said something along the lines of "oh dear" and left me to die in peace.
15:00 I slowly open my eyes, blurred at first but I slowly begin to Focus (get it?

). I phone Steve to find most of the group were at the Nurburgring museum, I meet them there looking rather pale.. apparently?

No sign of Simon (Sigo85)...
We head off to the circuit for the 18:00 opening time. I get one lap in before a motorcycle had a horrible accident in front of me and was unfortunately witnessed by Al and Steve. the circuit had claimed another biker

the track closed for the night after that and we retired to the hotel. Still no sign of Simon...
Back the hotel we went to the bar for a meal and drinks. Still no sign of Simon...
Sunday:
He lives!!! Simon emerges from a Dreamscience induced turbo charged hangover
We all sit down, eat breakfast and head off for the circuit, we arrive about 9:00 and stay until 18:00. Circuit was unbelieveably busy and I got about 8 laps in due to the sheer number of people and accidents.
Monday:
A bit of a lay in as the circuit opened at 13:00. what a difference, the track is quiet and I lap easily. I got a passenger lap with a more experienced driver and he pointed out the turn in and apex markers BMW have painted on the circuit. I headed out for my final lap.. wow! Instantly my laps were so much smoother, safer and faster. Looking back, some of line were shocking, Aremburg and Bergwerk are two that spring to mind.
We departed for Calais via some Autobahns, we made good progress

Stop for fuel about 50 miles from Calais, everyone was on the ferry which was looking unlikely they would make so they set off at warp factor speed, I lost radio contact with them within 2 minutes

I arrived back on UK soil about 21:00 and set off home and more importanlty bed
To end, I would like to reiterate how much I enjoyed this trip and the people I went with really did make it the great trip it was. It was a pleasure to share the weekend with a great bunch of people and hope we all return next year for a bigger and better trip.
Now for the photographs..
