Hi All,
Can someone stick a post at the top with the LED or Bulb Types and codes required for all interior lights and Headlights etc.
The ones i know are, and please post the correct ones if i have missed any or got any wrong.
Rear Dome : U42G9 (264) 41 - 44mm Bright Green Dome Light (9 Leds) Superior (Festoon)
Front Dome : U36G9 (239) 36 -39mm Bright Green Dome Light (9 Leds) Superior V (Festoon)
Footwells : U5016g (501) Green 6 Leds Super Bright
Side Headlights : U5016WW+(501) White Xenon 6 Super Bright Leds (Two Bulbs) Wide
Interior Boot Light : Type 501 Led's
Map Reading Lights : Type 501 Led's
Glove Box : Type 501 Led's
Ash Tray Light : ?
Spot Lights : H8
Flasher/full beam lamps : H1 55w
Main/dipped beam (HID xenon) : D2S-D2R Osram 35w 4500k
Dipped beam (halogen lamps) : H7 55w
Indicators at the front : P21w
Side repeaters : Type 501 Led's
Rear tail/stop lamps : 380 dual contact
Rear indicators : P21w offset pin
Number plate lamps : 36mm festoons - but a range of lamps would fit here by bending the contacts, prob no bigger than 40mm
The front fog lamps : 55w H11 lamps, although 35w/55w H8 can be easily modded to work
Reverse lamp : P21w - UKPM changed his to give more light, and it works very well. You may have to reverse the poliarty of the connection depending the the type of replacement LED lamp you use
(The side lights in the headlight unit really need to be the metal or ceramic bodied type - as they start to flicker as they melt when your full beam is on)
(eg: U42G9 = U(Ultra Bright) 42(MM Size) G(Light Colour) 9(Amount of LEDS in that unit) so for a different colour just substitue the code G for R(red))

right peeps over the last couple of days iv decided to paint my grilles fogs and a few bits under the bonnet but i took me ages to search for all the advice so i thought id put it all in one place just let me know if iv missed or got anything wrong cheers
[attachment=18362:DSC00801.JPG]
REAR FOGS
look behind the light (underneath) and you'll see a clip just simply unclip and pull out
[attachment=18363:DSC00806.JPG]
FRONT FOGS
first remove the little screw and then pull from the fog light area it will then just slide out
[attachment=18365:DSC00807.JPG]
UPPER GRILLE
firstly remove the slam panel then you'll be able to see the cable for the locking device for the bonnet
[attachment=18366:DSC00808.JPG]
if you look behing the grille you'll see this just pull the plastic bits apart to release the lock but DONT MOVE THE CABLE TOO MUCH be very careful then all there are are 3 little slots/clips i just pulled them out but i broke the middle one so your prob best using a small flat head screwdriver to unclip from the slots the slots are shown below
[attachment=18367:DSC00817.JPG]
[attachment=18369:DSC00815.JPG]
LOWER GRILLE
i removed the lower grille by just pulling it out but broke a couple of the clips so if your patient you can access the clips from above when the upper grille is removed just use a small screwdriver again
[attachment=18370:DSC00819.JPG]
PAINTING
for the painting i cleaned it everything with just soapy water prob best to clean it a bit better though but it will do for me i used a grey primer for first coat then two coats of gloss black. i also used 'fine wet and dry sand paper' to rub down after cleaning and between painting
[attachment=18371:DSC00813.JPG]
also before you shut the bonnet use a screwdriver first to test the lock its a lot easier to fix if the bonnet is open ill post the finished pics when it stops raining

If it all goes breasts up in the bonnet release department check this thread out!>>>

Right guys, a small write up.
Small, simply as its very easy.....
firstly, make sure your car has got the red/red light on the drivers side......

next, get the NEW Red/White LHD reverse lamp....

now, get under the car, or just feel for it (looking at the nshiny new lamp for reference) and take the bulb holder out, its a twist out fitment.
Now you need to replace that bulb for a RED bulb, so the fog light is still functional.
Next, you need to prise the grey trim off of the bumper. Its fairly easy, and very pliable. Start in the middle of the lamp, and jiggle it a bit, it will start to come loose, next on the left hand side of the lamp is a small catch, best viewed from underneath, loosen this one, and the one on the bottom side of the lamp, about on inch or so in from the left, once these are free, the whole trim will easily come free....
Again, using the new lamp for reference, you will notice a large clip on the underside of the lamp, this needs unclipping on the existing lamp, once you do that, the whole lamp will come free.....

leaving a large gap in your bumper.....

them simply reverse the process, but in a much easier, and quicker way. simply push the new lamp home. put the bulb back in. then hit th trim back in place taking care to align everything so as to avoid breakages!
et voila....

I need to get a stage 2-3 child seat for the eldest who is too tall for her current one.
I've narrowed the choice to a Britax evolva 2-3 isofit or a recaro Monza Seatfix. Both have isofix bottom mounts and seem very similar in all other respects.
Has anyone used either ?
I'm leaning towards the recaro in black and orange but the boss thinks Britax because its been on the which website.
Any help gratefully received.

Hi,
Just completed this mod, so thought we should have our own How to
I used the linen coloured surround as it was only a tenner + the full monty lamp with the submarine lighting.
Lamp: 1468823
Frame:1433145

Gave the frame 4 coats of Halfords plastic primer & 4 coats of satin black paint.

Make a template, I used a 2 litre milk carton, then stick it to the roof lining with masking tape.
It's position is central - left to right & 910mm from the back edge of the front light to the front edge of the rear light.
Carefully cut with a new Stanley knife blade. Once thru, most of the wiring is there awaiting you.

I ran a additional cable from the front light for the submarine lighting

Now all thats left is to clip the frame in place, clip the wires on & install into it's new home.

hi all well here it is. there been a lot of interest about this. and this is my no con's not bodge job how to guide.
first thing you will need to do BEFORE ORDERING!! is remove the hifi and look at the multi plug your looking to see what type of main loom you have fitted to your looking for the white and brown wires as shown[attachment=9527:attachment]
if you have these wires you will have the other plugs hidden around you car. if not you will need to order part no 1467152 this is a patch loom for universal fit.
[attachment=9528:attachment]
you will also need to order part no's
0087182 english bluetooth voice control modual
1318965 switch ass radio/vol with voice
1363463 microphone unit
0086283 retaining bracket
you will also need screws x2 for the bracket B&Q are cheaper than ford
when all your parts come check the conditon get a cup of tea or coffee your choice and set aside about 2hrs
step1: find your radio code!!
step2: disconect the batt
step3:remove the radio
[attachment=9529:attachment]
undo the screws
[attachment=9530:attachment]
IF YOU ORDERED THE EXTRA PATCH LOOM CONECT IT NOW AND RUN THE WIRES OF IT TO THE AREAS SHOWN IN MY PICS
step4: open the glove box and see if you have an airbag deactivation kit if yes (remove the batt NOW!! if you have not already done so, else it will only end in tears.)
[attachment=9531:attachment]
step5: remove to glove box
[attachment=9532:attachment]
step6: Disconect to mp3 socket and airbag switch
[attachment=9533:attachment]
step7: remove the iner of the glovebox
[attachment=9534:attachment]
step8: in the glove box locate the loom that is taped to the back left piller
[attachment=9535:attachment]
[attachment=9536:attachment]
this is the connection for the voice control unit plug
step9: fix the modual to the bracket make sure its the same way as it only goes one way.
[attachment=9538:attachment]
[attachment=9539:attachment]
step10: locate the screw holes and then put the screw into them and then back out to make a thread. (its
easyer)
[attachment=9540:attachment]
step11: conect the plug into the voice unit the fix upto the screw holes
[attachment=9541:attachment]
[attachment=9542:attachment]
step12: and the non patch loom only fix the clip to the dash
[attachment=9544:attachment]
step13: reinstall the glove box back to normal remebering to reconnect all wiring.
step14: remove the front light
[attachment=9545:attachment]
step15: remove the centre light surround and find the stowed wire that is for the mic. and conect it as in the pics.
[attachment=9546:attachment]
[attachment=9547:attachment]
[attachment=9548:attachment]
[attachment=9549:attachment]
step16: refit all light suround.
step17: remove and fit the new radio stalk
[attachment=9550:attachment]
[attachment=9551:attachment]
step18: refit you hifi and enter the code
step19: book your car into ford for conection the the ford computer system £32.84
ask for the WDS to programme "SRM" module under "programmable modules"
thats it your done and you now have a factory fitted phone kit also works with all voice commands inculding climate control. i will post more how toos about fitting a cradle system when the money is there. many thanks for reading. hilly.

Can anyone help please?
I believe that the ST2 can have the Zenon headlights adjusted for driving on the left or right hand side of the road.
In the Ford manual on P67 it states 'by an expert'. Has anyone done this or know how to do this please.
Otherwise will look at using the headlight reflecting lenses, but really don't want to unless we really have too as they may get too hot and are very sticky to remove afterwards.

While i was on a visit to code red, i asked Gary to what his thoughts were to a decal under the head light, so of Gary went and made a mock-up of the body lines under the headlight. To my amazement Gary had made them very quickly and put them on.
These ain't permanent but just to see what people think of them. I've had them on now for a while but never got round to posting up. Please leave all thought's on what you think, i don't mind if you hate them or like them, its just for me to see what people thoughts are. Personally i like them but thats me

I've been after these for a while and just spotted TeamTorquesteer selling them on ebay for £19.99 'buy it now'. RRP is £49.99 and they're on their website at £35.99.
There's 2 left if anyone's interested.

Ive got a problem with my drivers seat, its not a problem in the fact its a manufacturers issue but ive slightly ripped the leather it getting in. Im 6ft, 5 and fairly skinny, i slightly scrapped it a while back with the back of my jeans getting in when it was pouring down with rain and i jumped in quickly. There was a wee mark but not anything i was bothered about. Since then though ive been very carefull getting in the car, people looking would think im some weirdo, however today i caught it again, and theres a tiny bit of leather that ripped and came off leaving little white mark just on the side bolster. Again i can live with it but im now concerned that over time i might make it worse and i want to keep the car as mint as possible! It sort of confuses me how it happens, the seat is pretty far back cause im tall, and im very carefull when getting in! I could understand it more if i was a big guy and the car had like 40k miles on it but its only done 15k.
Has anyone done this before? If so how did you go about getting it fixed?
