Yup thats right, looks like my short but enjoyable time with the st is over (for the time being anyway). I was involved in quite a nasty smash last night on the way out to the shops with my partner when a lad in a cavalier came hooning out of a side road without even slowing down, neither of us had time to break and we plowed into the side of his car head on. we went spinning down the road one way and his car ended up on the otherside of the road 'in' a corner shop, luckily no one was seriously hurt and again luckily, no one was was entering or leaving the shop. I have got a witness for the whole thing and the details of the other driver who was admitting responsibility at the scene with witnesses so hopefully it should be fairly cut and shut case. The last thing i seen of the ST as me and our lass were packed off in an ambulance were the firemen crowbaring what was left of the bonnet off to take the battery out I do feel like iv been kicked down the stairs... On that note I would like to thank the guys that helped get us out of the car and ring the services, and also ford for providing such effective airbags even if i do have burn marks across my wrists where they went off.

Glad to hear that you and the other half have escaped relatively unhurt. There are some right idiots on the roads, no wonder insurance premiums are soo high.
You can always have another ST.

Glad everyone OK mate, as people said at least the car could be replace.
Is the bloke being done for driving with undue care and attention or anything like that? by sounds of it what you said about having no time to break, must show he wasn't paying any attention at all coming out in front of you.

Glad everyone is ok, it goes someway to show how well built the ST is. It punches well above it's weight in crash resistance.
