Haven't had my ST long enough yet but I get the feeling that most people are not too happy with the standard of service they get no matter what make of car they run. The common term I see is 'stealers'...and that's on various forums I've been a member of.

A mate dropped off the October issue of 'what car' and there's an article on there about a new code of practise drawn up by a collaboration between the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) and the Society Of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). This new code is called the 'Motor Industry Code Of Practise For Service and Repair' and is supposed to be an attempt by the industry to offer self regulation.

Anyway; it might be worth having a look at their website at http://service.motorindustrycodes.co.uk
to see what it's about.

Thought someone may be interested.
Cheers,
Andy

mine goes in for it's first service which was agreed on purchase to be complimentary on wednesday.
It's got a few problems with it that are at least covered by the warranty and I except a massive arguement about who's going to pay for it all.
Does anyone else's windows mist up sommat chronic ? I'm certain mine's got a minor leak in it somewhere and I'm not taking it back until they've changed a seal somewhere P.gif
it also seems to have developed a rattle in the rear somewhere, I'm sure they are going to love getting it in ... I'll be keeping an eye on total miles and difference on the range clock !!
I'd bet this is smoke and mirrors though and their real code of conduct is simply "rape them for all the money you can"
